Geri Halliwell is Launching a Line of Swimwear...

Geri Halliwell launched her new Next swimwear collection at The Savoy Hotel on January 28, 2011 in London, England.

via Stylelite:

Turns out Victoria Beckham isn’t the only former Spice Girl who wants to make it in the rag trade. Sexy Spice Geri Haliwell (who looks awesome at 38 btw) has debuted a line of swimwear. And she’s modeling it herself!

Geri by Next, the 38-year-old’s range of bikinis and beach coverups, will be available in British retailer Next’s stores as early as next month, though you can place online orders today.

While the line is pretty comprehensive — it has everything from sleeveless dresses and caftans for coverups to fun asymmetrical suits and more leopard print than you can shake a stick at — what we find most appealing and, well, cool is the price. Seriously, not since Sarah Jessica Parker’s Bitten line for the now-defunct Steve and Barry’s have we seen a celebrity collection priced this well. Per The Daily Mail:

Whereas a two-piece swimsuit from [Elizabeth Hurley] will set you back by about £120 ($186) or a kaftan £220 ($341) and Posh’s frocks into the hundreds, Geri’s bikinis are around £18 ($28), an animal print monokini is £32 ($50) and a white crochet maxi-dress is one of the most expensive items on sale at £50 ($78).

Haliwell says what she really wants is for all women to feel confident in their own skin, whether they’re on the beach or elsewhere under the sun — and that (plus her fairly awesome maxi dresses) give us the impression that her clothes won’t be hanging out on the sand for too long.

Sorry, But I DO NOT Approve of Anne Hathaway's Outfit.

Anne Hathaway attended 20th Century Fox press day For "RIO" looking like she got dressed in the dark on January 28, 2011 in Los Angeles, California. That's it. I'm convinced she got dressed in the dark without a mirror because that's the only logical explanation for this look. I like you Anne, I really do. You're so much better than to leave out looking thrown together like this, so yeah.
Well, your shoes are cute :)

Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Reunion Airs Tonite+My 2 Cents..

If you watched the finale episode of the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, then you witnessed the horrible blowup between sisters Kim and Kyle. I'm just gonna come out and say it. I was Team Kyle for the entire 1st season of RHOBH, but I always thought that there was something "not right" with the way Kyle treated Kim. Kyle would leave Kim, Kyle would always complain about having to "look after" Kim, Kyle would constantly say that Kim "didn't have her back" when it always seemed to be the other way around to me. Then there was the limousine blowup between the two of them where Kyle outed Kim as an alcoholic (SO not cool and thank goodness for Adrienne stepping in) and took Taylor's side when Kim's version of events clearly checked out (verified by film playback). I don't know what's going on with Kyle, but she seems to have issues of her own that she needs to work out. Family conflict is never easy to watch. And after that finale episode where she verbally attacked her sister Kim and showed such a lack of compassion when Kim was clearly in a vulnerable state, I was officially OFF of Team Kyle. Kyle really came off as a bully and a mean girl and it was just unfortunate, sad, and honestly, I hope they both can get some help and resolve their issues. As for Lisa, the jury's still out on her for me. Taylor turned out to be really crafty at manipulating situations to suit her needs. Camille, I can't help but feel sorry for her and her situation regardless of how she was portrayed on the show. And Adrienne seemed to have the most level head throughout the season. All that being said, I can't wait to watch what happens tonight!

Taraji P. Henson Poses Nude for PETA.

The 40-year-old Karate Kid actress is the latest celeb to join PETA's "I'd Rather Go Naked Than Wear Fur" campaign. (Previous stars who've posed for the cause include Charlize Theron, Eva Mendes, Bethenny Frankel and Chad Ochocinco). Click READ MORE HERE below for more:

After seeing the documentary I Am an Animal, which shows how animals on fur farms are skinned alive, Henson gave up her fur-wearing ways.

"Before I saw that documentary, I would wear fur," she says. "But I saw this documentary, and I was riveted. I cried. Could you imagine somebody ripping your hair out, while you're still awake, fully conscious? It's ridiculous, for the sake of fashion."

Henson will unveil her provocative anti-fur campaign at PETA's New York Fashion Week Bash on February 10. The ad will also appear on a billboard in L.A. "I don't think a living being should suffer for the sake of fashion, period. End of story," the Curious Case of Benjamin Button actress says. "You don't have to kill an animal just because you want to be hot and fly. And I really stand by that."

I Think I Might Want an iPad.

I have really been working hard on trying not to want an iPad. Really. I have. I've told myself all the standard arguments, like "what's the point? I already have an iPhone and a Macbook." I really and truly tried to convince myself that the iPad would just be redundant. Slowly but surely, I'm starting not to believe that, and yes. I think I might want an iPad.

set up for the ny gift fair

To view at a larger size, please click on the image.

To figure out what pieces I need for the NY Gift Fair, I set up a mock booth in my studio. I like organizing by color, and it seems to make sense for my work. I have many different images that I work with, and the color holds it all together. The missing pieces are coming out of the kiln on Thursday, the day I leave for NYC. I always have to work until the very last minute. I've been like that since high school, writing my senior thesis until dawn of the day it was due.

2011 Golden Globes Red Carpet Fashion: LOVED IT! :)

Olivia Wilde was a vision in this chocolate confectionary Marchesa gown. Olivia stood out on the Golden Globes red carpet in this beautiful cocoa color and I love that she chose to wear minimal jewelry. This dress was a sugary fairy tale dream. I loved it.

Elizabeth Moss was really pretty in this deep green Donna Karan gown. This emerald green was a common theme throughout the night on the Golden Globes Red Carpet and I for one was a fan of the color.

Emma Stone wore this basic peach Calvin Klein gown and I flipped for it. Some may say, "but there's nothing to this dress" but let me tell you, clean lines usually win me over every time, and Calvin Klein is one designer who has the art of clean lines mastered.

More green! Loved this Vera Wang dress on Mila Kunis, the back of the dress was even more fabulous, sorry I don't have a pic :(

Love Sophia Vergara in this Red Vera Wang. It fit her beautifully and bottomline is, I'm just a Sophia Vergara fan girl.

Another beautiful green gown on Catherine Zeta Jones. Hers is by Monique Lhuillier and I thought it was stunning on her.

This pink dress draped ever so nicely on Claire Danes, more simple chic by Calvin Klein. Basic done to perfection. Loved it. :)

2011 Golden Globes Red Carpet Fashion: DIDN'T LOVE IT :(

People were applauding Helena Bonham Carter's boldness and individuality (check out her different colored shoes!) but this look is just a jumbled mess to me. Helena is no stranger to quirky fashion, she usually gravitates towards the eccentric. I mean hello! She picked Tim Burton as a life partner. Nuff said. Anyhoo, I think she looks nicer when she pulls it back and refines it a little like she did here.

Scarlett Johansson
Scarlett looked uncomfortable in this Elie Saab dress, and I have to say it wasn't one of my favorites on her either. Maybe if her hair and makeup were different, and she was her usual confident self it would have helped, but the whole vibe just made me go... meh.

Nicole Kidman
Vanilla. Bland. Milk toast. Snoooooooze fest. Did I leave anything out? I'm telling you, a Prada dress never looked so boring.

I'm gonna go to bat for Julianne Moore here in this hot pink Lanvin gown. I'm going to bat for her because I think it's unfortunate that her glam squad let her onto the red carpet looking a wrinkled mess. Shame on them for not steaming this dress.

Leighton Meester in Burberry. This dress just looks like oatmeal to me. And I usually like oatmeal. I'm just not feeling this dress. Sorry.

Lots of people liked January Jones in this bold red Versace gown but I didn't. It's too over the top like she's trying too hard to be sexy when she really doesn't have to. I gave this dress a NO.

Didn't like Angelina Jolie in this Atelier Versace dress. But to be perfectly fair, I could just be biased against her. Anyhoo, NEXT.

No, no, NO Halle. Didn't like this black Nina Ricci dress on her at all. Dresses with single sheer chiffon panels just look cheap to me, no matter who the designer. Don't believe me? Check out Kristin Stewart in CHANEL. See what I mean? Not a good look. Halle's head to toe look seems like it should have been worn underneath her actual dress. Ok. Enough shade! Stay tuned for the Golden Globe dresses that I did like :)
