Halle Recounts Her Panic When She Lost Daughter in a Dept. Store.

via US Weekly: On The Ellen DeGeneres Show Monday, Halle Berry recounts the horror she recently experienced when she lost daughter Nahla, 3, in a department store. "Talk about sweating," she says. "And you just freak out for about 30 seconds. I came undone. I think my head projected off my body."

Berry, 44, says she remembers standing, holding Nahla's hand. 
"And then all of a sudden, I looked down at a price tag or something, and she toddled off for what seemed like two seconds," she says. "The next thing I know, I looked back around and it was like, Whosh! Gone! And I said, 'Nahla? Nahla? Nahla?' Gone," she continues. "My heart just started ... I'm like, Close the store! Shut the door! My daughter's gone!'"

 Turns out, Berry says, "She was right next to me -- in a rounder of clothes where the pants were hanging. Right there. And after I became a lunatic and totally embarrassed myself, she stuck her head out and was like, 'Hi.'"

Berry, 44, has been spotted cozying up to her Dark Tide costar Olivier Martinez, 44, in his hometown of Paris. The two have been seen smooching and exploring the city, embracing a Hollywood-style romance straight out of a movie.


"It was the classic 'I'm going to kiss you here in a dark corner' move," an onlooker tells PEOPLE of Berry and Martinez's romantic romp. "And she was waiting to be kissed."


The duo spent Sunday afternoon combing through the streets arm in arm, taking in a pit stop at the Paris flea market. "They had their arms around each other as they walked," an onlooker tells PEOPLE. "They were both smiling and laughing Their body language was very flirtatious. They definitely seemed like a couple – absolutely looked like more than friends."

The two sped off on Martinez's motorcycle before dining at the intimate Casa Bini restaurant. After dinner, Martinez led Berry on a cozy back-streets tour of the St. Germain district at dusk, including Place Saint-Sulpice and its fountain. En route to his Paris pad, the couple stopped along a narrow street and kissed in a doorway for two minutes, says an onlooker.



So I guess this means Halle and gorgeous Gabriel are really over?? For some reason, that makes me sad :(

A few excerpts from her magazine interview when you READ MORE below:  On her first interview in three years: "I was burned-out with having other people tell the story about me that they wanted to tell. I told my publicist, 'I'm not going to talk anymore. I'm just going to live my life and be who I am.'"

On being asked to be on the cover of the September issue of Vogue: "What that means for a woman of color and what that means in the fashion world, what that means to pop culture, there was no way I could say, 'No I'm not going to be on the biggest issue of the year.'"

On the "Oscar curse": "Everybody talks about the Oscar curse," she says. "People win Oscars, and then it seems like they fall off the planet. And that's partly because a huge expectation walks in the room and sits right down on top of your head. The moment I won the Oscar, I felt the teardown the very next day. I thought, If I'm going down, I'm going down taking chances and daring to risk. Hence...Catwoman."

On her appreciation of the female body: "I love the naked female form.... I just feel like that's the most empowered position you can be in. That comes with age," she says. "I've been slowly getting there. If the world wouldn't persecute me, I'd take nude pictures every day of the week."

On her relationship and breakup with Gabriel Aubry:
"It's just that you realize you are not meant to go the distance with everybody," she says. "We were meant to bring this amazing little person into the world. And I think that's why we came together. And because of that, we are going to be together forever, all three of us. We are a family until we are not here anymore."

"We have always been friends, we're still friends, we love each other very much, and we both share the love of our lives. And we are both 100 percent committed to being the best parents we can be. And while it was not a love connection for us, he was absolutely the right person to have this child with because she is going to have an amazing father. And that was really important to me. We'll make sure we always do what is right for her and put her first. And she will see as she grows that we have a lot of love for each other."

I have to tell you that I was shocked, SHOCKED when I heard about Halle Berry and Gabriel Aubrey splitting up. Then to hear it was about their age difference? (she's 43 he's 34) Wow. And it's being reported that it was Gabriel, NOT Halle who was the one getting antsy and tired of the relationship. Sources are saying that Gabriel's a "stand up dude" so he didn't want to cheat on her, so he just decided to end things. Reports are also saying that they've already worked out custody of their daughter Nahla. If this is upsetting to me, imagine how Halle feels. Sad. Well if someone doesn't want to be with you, it's really a waste of time trying to hold on to them. Just hope this dude knows what he's doing. [source]
